Crystal Bay

One of the few beaches on Nusa Penida, Crystal Bay, welcomes snorkeling spots of all skill levels in Nusa Penida to spend the day exploring the sea. Everyone can swim around carefree in waters that are shallower for those with less snorkeling experience while still being teeming with marine life. With gorgeous coral reefs and water that truly lives up to its name. Crystal Bay should come as no surprise that it is one of Nusa Penida’s busiest beaches. Additionally, this beach is a truly magical place for snorkeling for everyone. Turtles and even the Mola Mola, one of the heaviest bony fish in the world, may be seen by snorkelers.

Manta Bay and Manta Point

It is not always guaranteed to see a manta ray in Nusa Penida, as any island tour operator will tell you. The increased number of tourists in the area has made the mantas more reticent. They are now spending more time on the ocean floor. You’ll have a better chance of seeing them if you can scuba dive.

The two most well-known locations to see manta rays are Manta Point and Manta Bay, but neither is reachable by land. Buddha Point

What could be more fascinating than a temple under the sea? Buddha Point, which is an artificial reef with a large Buddha statue and bell-shaped stupas, is situated at the Ceningan Channel. Diving underwater and seeing such a sight makes you feel as though you have entered a magical realm. The statues are covered in moss, and there are little fish hiding and seeking around them. The statues are accessible by snorkeling without scuba equipment and are between 15 and 20 feet (5 meters) deep. However, the currents can be quite strong, so swim cautiously and with fins.
