Using the dishes without washing them first. It is understandable if you do it in hotel room because you believe the housekeeping keep everything clean and usable. Even if the dishes look clean, avoid using them right away unless you wash them first. It aims to guarantee cleanliness.

Forgetting to save your host’s contact information offline. In today’s fashion of travel and accommodation, physical interaction is limited. However, that doesn’t mean you should limit the connection totally. Always save your host’s contact information such as phone number and email. Always save your vacation rental’s address and its direction. Also, save the code of the door or where you can find the keys. Make sure every information stays with you to avoid unnecessary problem later.

Losing your vacation rental’s key. In most cases, vacation rentals use a lockbox code. However, there are some of them that still use old-fashioned key. It has higher risk of being lost or forgotten. If you happen to rent a house with key, make sure not to lose it. Also it is best to ask your hose several keys so each of your travel buddies can have it to avoid being locked out. Losing a key can cause a big trouble especially if there is no locksmith nearby.

Be mindful with how you act. Make sure to not do anything that can damage the property or disturb the neighbor. Throwing party can cause you to lose your security deposit. You may face a big fine from the agency. Also, do not forget to pay for the rental fee before checking out. It is often that travelers leave the  house without completing their deposit first and most of the time is because they forget to do so. Hence, set a reminder to inform you about the deposit.
