Travelling requires you to prepare your transport. You can decide based on the distance of your travel destination or the convenience in general. One of the safest mode of transportation is airplane. Booking a flight to travel to your destination can make your trip more efficient. It can save time so you have more time to do other fun activities when you arrive at your destination. However, it is another case when it is your first time flying. It can make you nervous. Excitement and anxiety are not good combination somehow. Those can make you experience travel stress. However, it is not something you cannot solve. 

How to have first fly smoothly

Keep in mind that you don’t have to beat yourself up for feeling nervous about first time flying. Everybody feels the same way. You can overcome those travel stress trigger by following these tips:

Do your own research to learn more about airport basic procedure. It is not hard to find since you can search it online. Then, learn more about the procedure of the airport you are going to visit. Find out about check-in procedure as well especially of the airline you have booked. If they offer online check-in, you can do it so you can skip the check-in queue at the airport later. Then you also should learn more about baggage rule. It can be different from one airline to another.

It is better to arrive earlier than later. This way you give yourself plenty of time to prepare and make yourself ready with the airport procedures. Airport can be unpredictable sometimes. It can be so busy unpredictably which make the lines longer than usual. To avoid getting stuck, it is always safe to arrive at the airport early. 

Make sure you have prepared all necessary documents as well as itinerary and flight details. Passports and other documents should be copied in advance so that you can be more prepared if something happen such as losing your bags containing all those important documents. It is also highly suggested to keep checking your documents before and after the flight to make sure they are still there. 

Dress comfortably. It is highly recommended to not wear too tight clothes because they can restrict your blood circulation. They can also make your body feel less comfortable during the flight especially if you have a long-haul flight. Dress casually and make sure that the clothes lose enough to make you feel easy to breathe. Your too tight clothes can make your nervous state even worse. 

Bring your own necessity to stay entertained, hydrated, and comfortable. You can create a music playlist to play during your flight. It is also important to not leave your stomach empty during the flight. It can make you feel drained and dizzy. If your nervous state makes your appetite less, have some snacks. It is better to pack your owns snacks from home because you might not like what the airline provides. Do not forget to stay hydrated to avoid dizziness but avoid caffeinated drinks.
