They are more reliable for good footing.

Making a camp before dark is a must

If you continue your journey even after dark, the risk of danger is too high. Aside from encountering dangerous animals, it is more possible to get injured due to limited sight. Choose safe area to build a camp. At least you will need two hours daylight to set up a camp. Make sure to rest enough to continue your journey. Avoid drinking alcohol because it can make you less focus and alert. Rely more on water to keep you hydrated and energized during your trip.
