Hiking for Otherworldly Sunrise in Padar Island

Padar is actually one of the best spot for sunrise in the entire Komodo. The sun rise in Padar around 5.36 AM (according to Google), so you have plenty of time for preparation and hike. If you mention it to the boat tour, they will likely to depart from 2 or 3 AM from the anchor point and wake you up at 4 AM. The hike itself takes about 30 minutes—it’s steep and kinda dangerous in the dark, so make sure you bring a flashlight or headlamp. Get to the top, find a  comfortable spot to watch the sunrise, and prepare for a view out of this world. You will see the surrounding island slowly get unfold from the darkness while the first rays of the sun cast a reddish glow to the hills. Enjoy the tranquility of the morning as the sky changes colour.
